Garfield Minus Garfield
March 4, 2008
What happens when take Garfield comic strips, which aren’t really that funny, and completely remove Garfield from them? They turn into genius pieces of surrealism.
Garfield Minus Garfield, if you haven’t already come across it, is fantastic. I just love these.

Oh that’s superb! I took a look at the Garfield Minus Garfield site - just brilliant - a what a journey into contemporary angst and personal preoccupation!

I read these years ago, and laughed in that hoo-hoo-stoppit-yer-freakin-me-out way. And now, within three days of each other, a pal of mine sends one of these to me, and then you blog about it. Weird. But, in a world where Garfield is named but not existent, all is possible.

For some reason, people keep sending me various Garfield-related links lately. They’ve all been new to me, but I imagine some of the Garfield stuff going around lately must have been around for a while.

Clearly there is only one explanation for the Garfield-related content in your inbox! You are becoming an orange striped tabby with a predilection for snappy banter and kicking dogs off tables.
