The Mighty Boosh
December 7, 2007
Due to a recommendation from Chris on a previous post about The Flight of the Conchords, I’m currently watching the third season of The Mighty Boosh.
It’s a surreal British comedy that’s difficult to describe. At its core, it’s about two friends going off on strange, magical adventures. It’s very colourful and creative. There are clever jokes and gutter jokes, singing and dancing, demon grannies and talking apes. It’s really all over the place.
When I first started to watch the series, I couldn’t decide if I liked it or not. The more I watched it, the more I enjoyed it, and now I’m pretty much obsessed with it. The third season is airing right now and is looking even better than the last two. I also watched the DVD of their live theatrical act, which was possibly even better than the series.
So, thank you Chris. I now have one more obsession to add the the list.
Here’s the introduction to their first show. It’s a taste of their humour.

Ha, a clip, just what I needed. It’s just started here and I haven’t decided whether I want to watch it or not - this should help!

I found it gets better with each season. The second and third seasons are a lot better than the first, in my opinion.
Definitely worth watching if you’re into bizarre, creative comedy (which I have a feeling you are :) ).
